Recently, the "Divine Comedy" series of prints exhibitions of Salvador Dali, "another art gallery" in Guangzhou opened. The exhibition displays hundreds of Salvador Dali prints collected by the Italian gallery Cesar Cabanas, bringing an immersive experience to the audience through artistic installations.

"Salvador Dali is deeply loved by art lovers around the world for his wild and surreal style. He turned the literary classic "Divine Comedy" into a visual miracle, giving each scene new vitality." Liu Pudan, the founder of another art gallery, said in his speech at the opening ceremony that the exhibition will create an immersive interactive space and art installation around the theme, and will also open a number of parent-child study and experience activities.
The exhibition will last until October 20.
"Reappear" the artistic conception of "Divine Comedy"
When you walk into Pavilion No. 1, you will see a "lost forest". The black branches are densely spread across the white space, making the audience feel as if they are in the dark maze of Dante's "Divine Comedy". In contrast, the exhibition areas of "Sea of Hope" and "Domain of Light" on the second and third floors of the museum. The spatial layout is mainly pink and purple and blue, which means hope and rebirth.

This exhibition has three exhibition areas, corresponding to Dante's "Divine Comedy", "Purgatory" and "Paradise" chapters.
Through dialogue with various *** characters, Salvador Dali reflected the achievements and some major issues in the field of medieval culture, and made artistic explanations and summary of medieval politics, philosophy, poetry, painting, etc. Audiences can enjoy the fine works of Salvador Dali, such as "On the Great Journey" and "Fallen Angel".
"We hope to create a peaceful and pure dreamy environment, so that the audience can feel the holy realm described in the "Divine Comedy" while watching the exhibition, and obtain tranquility and pleasure." Curator Xu Lanlan introduced that the exhibition presents the story of "Divine Comedy" and Dali's artistic style in a surreal style. Each painting is like a psychological adventure, guiding the audience to think deeply about faith and the supreme goodness of mankind.

Looking back at the curatorial process, Xu Lanlan told reporters that from the early conception to actual implementation, the team members have also experienced a transformation from "from hell to heaven", just like creating an "unknown work of art". When laying out the "Black Forest" scene, they found that the width of the initial custom-made mirror exceeded expectations, but they found unexpected joy, creating a sense of infinite extension.
"The reflection of the mirror makes the space appear larger and more complicated. As the exhibition route gradually deepens, loss and hesitation slowly approach the audience." She said that this sense of extension helps to enhance the audience's immersion and also makes the exhibition's "surreal" style fuller.
Surreal art leads new trends in parent-child tourism
At the exhibition site, hundreds of Dali prints were placed in a bright exhibition space, and each painting was accompanied by poems corresponding to the content of Dante's "Divine Comedy". Da uses seemingly absurd and exaggerated brushstrokes to allow the viewer to wander between thinking and dreams.

"Salvador Dali is a surrealist master. The purpose of another art gallery is to inspire and retain the audience's curiosity and be consistent with Dali's artistic style." In Liu Pudan's view, this exhibition is not only facing professional groups, but also for the general public who are interested in art. He hopes that the audience can experience the charm of surrealism through immersive exhibition experience.
Immersive scene design and interactive installations are a highlight of this exhibition.
In the "Domain of Light" exhibition area on the third floor, the audience will embark on a path from dark to light. The switching of light and shadow and the contrast of colors seem to introduce people into Dali's paintings. The audience can not only experience the process of moving from darkness to light, but also feel the depth and fantasy of surrealist art in Dali's works.

"Creativeness is an indispensable element in the development of individual thinking. We hope that through exhibition-related activities, children can spark their thinking after watching the exhibition." Liu Pudan said that the art museum will open a series of parent-child study activities with the theme of "surrealism", such as parent-child workshops, to attract more parents to lead their children to visit.
International exhibitions help cultural exchanges between China and the West
In the 1950s, Dali was invited by the Italian Minister of Culture to create a new illustration series for Dante's "Divine Comedy" to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Dante's birth in 1965.
"For various reasons, the creation of "Divine Comedy" was once shelved. With the support of a French businessman, Dali finally completed a total of 100 prints in three chapters of "Divine Comedy", which took ten years." Chen Shiyu, the painting provider, said that this batch of works was hard-won. He hopes that through this exhibition, more audiences can feel Dali's creative passion and artistic talent, and at the same time inspire the public's love and exploration of art.

The artistic dialogue between Dali and Dante across time and space reflects the profound heritage of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Liu Pudan said that as a frontier region of China's opening up, Guangdong enjoys the advantages of introducing resources and venues to international exhibitions. For another art gallery, this exhibition is not only a platform to promote cultural exchanges between China and the West, but also a valuable opportunity to learn from excellent foreign artistic elements.
"We need to have a global perspective and focus on contemporary art. Another art gallery was born to break the boundaries, and each exhibition is an opportunity for new creation and presentation," said Liu Pudan.
